I found this tag online and once again don’t know who started it. I also wasn’t tagged in it because I’m pretty new to this whole book blogging thing and am a bit sad and lonely out here Anyways, lets move on from there.
1) ANTICIPATION: The Christmas excitement is real! What book release(s) are you most anticipating?
I think most Shatter Me fans will be very excited about the release of this book. While it is set to release on the 31st March 2020, I can’t help but wish it was just a bit earlier, as it would be a fantastic Christmas gift to me from myself 😉
2) CHRISTMAS SONGS AND CAROLS: What book or author can you not help but sing its praises?
If I’m honest as a rule I don’t often have favourite or automatic-buy authors, however I am a huge fan of Adam Silvera as well as (naturally) Tahereh Mafi. After reading the current books in the Shatter Me series I looked into more of her work, and even her middle grade book looks brilliant, and definitely something I want to try in 2020.
3) GINGERBREAD HOUSES: What book or series has wonderful world building?
I am regretful to have to inform you that I sTILL have not read Children of Virtue and Vengeance, the sequel to this book. I’m holding off buying any more books until Christmas, and its causing me to be quite behind in some series. Anyway, the world in this book is vivid and raw and stunning. It was absolutely incredible to read, and the whole world felt real and fleshed out. I can’t wait to enter it again with the next one 😀
4) A CHRISTMAS CAROL: A favourite classic or one that you want to read.
I would have to say Sherlock Holmes. I’ve read a little of his adventures, however I would like to read more. Classics aren’t one of my favourites I won’t lie, but I often feel as an avid book reader that it is my duty to read them, or I am a failure within the community and will be forced to bow down to those who have read the likes of Robinson Crusoe etc.
5) CHRISTMAS SWEETS: A book that you would love to recieve for Christmas.
IT by Stephen King. I am very, very, very aware of the fact that if I read this I will not sleep for the next few months, if not years, if not the rest of my life. However i will take the lack of sleep with pride because I WILL BE ABLE TO SAY I’VE READ IT BY STEPHEN KING AND THAT IS LIKE, A VERY BIG DEAL TO ME 🙂
6) CANDLES IN THE WINDOW: What book gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling:
This isn’t the best book ever, and if I were to write a review upon it I would not struggle to find imperfections within it. That being said, this book reminds me of cosy evening reading and just makes me very happy inside.
7) CHRISTMAS TREES AND DECORATIONS: What are some of your favourite book covers?
There are wayyyyyyy too many to choose from, so here are just a few I can think of from the top of my head:
8) CHRISTMAS JOY: What are some of your favourite things about Christmas and/or some of your favourite Christmas memories?
Ahhhh I love seeing all the lights outside and having all the decorations up inside, it just feels so special and nice. I also love it on Christmas eve when my family and I all watch a movie together before going up to bed. Its all very mellow and the perfect way to spend the evening before one of my favourite days of the year.
And that’s it! Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it, and even if you don’t make sure to have fun and stay safe this season 🙂
